Q: What is the cost per square foot for a home by Hasken Construction LLC?

A: A custom builder does not usually have a general cost per square foot because each custom home has a different design and is priced according to the homeowner's individual specifications. For example, one homeowner may choose polished brass fixtures, lots of windows, wood floors and granite counter tops while another homeowner may decide on carpeting, chrome fixtures and laminate countertops. The two houses may be of similar size but the cost of features will vary significantly. Our "Estimating the cost of your home questionaire" is used to chose the specifications you desire so we will be able to give you an accurate estimate of the cost of your home.

Q: How long does it take to build a home with Hasken Construction LLC?

A: Once plan development is completed, a typical custom home may take about six months to build. However, it may take up to a year or more to complete a larger home with a complex design or a great deal of special order luxury materials.

Q: What about the yard?

A: Hasken Construction LLC can work with you to develop a landscape plan. We can rough grade the yard for you to complete later, or we can help to fully develop the lawn and plants.

Q: How much does a general contractor charge?

A: Usually the contractor will charge a percentage of the project - around 10-12% of the total. Some
remodeling projects or additions can be done on a time and material basis.

Q: What services does Hasken Construction LLC provide for us?

A: Hasken Construction LLC can design your project, price it, develop plot plans, obtain permits, organize and schedule all subcontractors and materials purchases, oversee the building of the project, meet regularly with you, accompany you to visit suppliers and help make decisions, and continue this support through the closing of the project. In addition, Hasken Construction has a limited one year service warranty.
