	*Plot Plans & Survey...* The plot plan is a scale drawing or "map" showing the exact location of the house, driveway, garage, well, septic system, outbuildings, L.P. tank, and any other improvements on your building lot. It is important to observe all set back requirements and easements that affect your property in developing this plot plan. This plot plan is necessary to obtain a building permit. A certified surveyor will measure your building lot and mark the corners and other distinguishing points of the lot. The surveyor then provides a plat of the lot with all the measurements and a legal description of the property. This information is necessary to prepare the site plan (or plot plan) which locates all the improvements on the property and their appropriate measurements.
